Look closely at an older Florida exterior and you'll usually find three things: dirt, green or black mildew on the shady sides, and old paint that leaves a chalky residue on your hand. New paint applied over any of those bonds to the problem, not the wall.
That's why pressure washing is part of every exterior painting job we do, not an add-on. It removes loose paint, chalk, dirt, and organic growth so primer and paint can bond directly to the surface.
More pressure isn't better. Too much can gouge stucco, drive water into cracks, and strip paint you meant to keep. We adjust pressure and tip for each surface, treat mildew so it doesn't come straight back, and then give the walls time to dry before any repairs or primer.
Pressure washing is also worth doing on its own. A clean driveway, walkway, and pool deck make a house look cared for, which matters if you're getting ready to sell or just want the place to feel new again.
